From South Africa
Beryl Webber - SACC
My deep love for animals, and especially of cats, started at a very young age. This inspired me to pursue my interest and to own and successfully breed Siamese and Oriental cats under the prefix "Shereluk". I have owned and bred several "Best in Show" winners, "Cat of the Day" winners, as well as many "Cat of the Year" finalists.
I am a fully qualified All Breeds judge having started the Group 2 judges' course in 1995 and have enjoyed judging in Melbourne - Australia, New Zealand and all 5 provinces in South Africa.
Positions held within the Cat Fancy:
I am married and live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am a retired Human Resources Manager and currently have a 50% shareholding in a Commercial Property Investment Company.
From France
Guy Héranval - LOOF
Born in Paris in 1956. Fascinated by drawing and painting since his childhood. He met the breed cat world with the sky-blue eyes of a Blue Point Siamese, Mercure. Breeder of Blue British (blue once more!) and American WireHair (not blue!). All breed judge for about fifteen years. Painting (of course!), trees, shrubs, plants and gardening, litterature go with cats, and his companion Fred, in his heart (where there is plenty of space)

From Australia
Denis Turner - NSWCFA
"I have been involved in the cat fancy since obtaining my first Persian cat in 1959 and starting out as an exhibitor. Things progressed from there and I became a Group 1 judge in 1973. Now I am totally submerged in Cat Affairs.
I have judged consistently in all States of Australia and often acted as an examiner for other Controls, as well as judging extensively in New Zealand, Malaysia and the USA. Over the years I have bred/owned Persians, Exotics, Siamese, British Shorthair, both Cornish and Devon Rex, Manx, Scottish Fold and I am soon to be owned by a Bengal.
Currently I am President of The Ku-Ring-Gai Cat Club(Longhair), foundation member of the Longhair Cat Association, foundation member and Patron of the Himalayan Cat Club, President of the NSW Cat Fanciers Association, Tutor Judge and Examiner for the NSW CFA in Group 1, and Chairman of the Group 1 Breeds and Standards Committee, as well as Liaison Officer to the Domestic Animals Committee of The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. Apart from my association with cats over the years I have also bred Great Danes, Afghan Hounds, Schnauzers, Griffons, and Dobermans, which I still actively breed. Landscape Design and gardening are passions of mine and I am currently re-creating 7 acres of Victorian gardens which surround my home."
Cheryle U’Ren - FCCV
"I have been a member of the Feline Control Council of Victoria since it’s inception in 1962. I was first licensed to judge in 1965 and qualified as an All breeds judge in 1979. Over the past 44 years I have gained broad experience with judging invitations throughout Australia and New Zealand plus Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, USA, Hungary, Germany, Holland, South Africa, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, United Kingdom and China thus gaining valuable knowledge into international variations of standards. I am an FCCV and CCCofA National Tutor and Examining All Breeds judge and am involved in lecturing and conducting of Judges Seminars for both organisations.
Over the years I have shown my preference for breeding and showing top quality Persians in Solid, Himalayan and Marked colours and more recently Singapuras.
I breed under the "Sublime", "Preview", "Firnbank" "Lavendel" and "Ithaca" prefixes jointly with members of my family and Denis Turner, President of the NSWCFA. Together we have achieved multiple Best in Show, Supremes and Cat of the Year winners.
I am a foundation and life member of both the Feline Control Council and the Pedigree Persian Cat Club of Victoria. I am currently serving as President of the FCCV plus holding positions on many sub-committees relating to judging, breeding, showing and standards matters.
I have also been a regular FCCV delegate at the national Cat Co-Ordinating Council of Australia’s conference since the FCCV became a member, and am privileged to be currently serving as their ILO, I believe strongly in the principle of such a group and am proud of the unity that exists within from all the Member Bodies, which represents around 80% of the cat fancy in Australia. I have recently returned from the USA where I represented the CCCA at the World Cat Congress. I have been given the honour of being voted in as the current Vice-President at this level.
I am dedicated to ensuring that the FCCV and CCCA remain the influential and professional organisations in the Australasian cat fancy that they are today and now CCCA on the international scene as well."

"I like to tell people I have made three brilliant decisions in my lifetime! The first was to marry the dear man who pays the vet bills; the second was to leave behind the frozen North for the happier climes of my beautiful adopted country; and the third was retiring from the dog world in 1995 to become involved in every aspect of showing cats, culminating in my appointment to the CCCA panel as a Group 3 judge in 2003, followed by Group 2 in 2006.
My particular passion is the Somali – rare and beautiful, and fun–loving, affectionate companions! I have primarily been involved with silvers, but have also owned and exhibited tawny, chocolate and cinnamon. I am rather proud of having two Somali CCCA Champions! I have also exhibited a black British Shorthair, and was a founding member of the British Isles Cat Society in Victoria. I am also a founding member of the Companion Cat Club of Victoria, the main objective of which is to promote the exhibition of domestic cats and responsible cat ownership, and to enhance the value which society places on our beloved feline companions. Other breeds that have shared my home and heart in the past include Burmese, Russian Blue, Oriental and Maine Coon.
As I apparently suffer from ”volunteer syndrome”, I am presently an executive in two cat clubs, am on the Executive of The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (Victoria), and serve as Secretary/Treasurer of our Judges’ Association. One could call it “total immersion” in the cat world! Judging cats is, for me, the ultimate experience. It involves a great deal of concentration and hard work, and carries a tremendous burden of responsibility. Nevertheless, the opportunity to handle and assess so many beautiful and charming creatures is a continuing delight that I will always treasure."
Alan Davies - QFCCQ
